Opening a business in China can be complex and challenging due to a variety of factors. Here are some of the difficulties that businesses may face:

      • Language barrier: Chinese is the official language of China, and many official documents and processes are only available in Chinese. This can make it difficult for businesses that do not have a Mandarin-speaking staff to navigate the process of registering their business, obtaining licenses and permits, and communicating with local authorities.
      • Local regulatory requirements: Regulations in China can be complex and constantly changing, and local governments have varying requirements for businesses operating in their regions. This can make it difficult for businesses to understand and comply with all the necessary regulations.
      • Cultural differences: Doing business in China requires a good understanding of Chinese culture and customs, which can vary widely depending on the region. Building strong relationships with local partners and stakeholders is crucial for business success in China.
      • Intellectual property protection: Intellectual property protection in China can be challenging, with issues of counterfeiting, trademark and patent infringement, and trade secret theft being common. Hi Madam/Sir, thanks for the enquiries.

There are two main ways for foreign goods to enter China through legal channels:

          1. General trade. In traditional import trade, domestic foreign trade companies with import and export rights purchase goods from overseas suppliers and sell them domestically.
          2. Import cross-border trade e-commerce – direct purchase import. Domestic e-commerce enterprises sell overseas goods to domestic individual consumers. After the user places an order, the product is packaged overseas and transported to the domestic customs through international logistics. After completing customs clearance, it is delivered to the consumer using domestic logistics.

If the first way mentioned above is adopted for import, it is recommended to establish a company in China to facilitate the sale of goods.
